With reference to my core project for the degree I created two books, namely "Old Houses of Sri Lanka" and “Old Occupations of Sri Lanka”. The first book required a comprehensive research of old houses located island wide in order to understand their history, cultural links and architectural elements. For "Old Occupations of Sri Lanka",a study of dying occupations was carried on a case study basis. For both these projects I did the overall conceptualization and took the photographs. Assistance was obtained for architectural details. |
